La Remontee was born in the winter of 1982. Originally, there were only nine rustic cabins with mezzanine equipped with a fireplace and a kitchen area that had been built at Saint-Fidèle before being towed to Pointe-Au-Pic on our current site. Skiers who came to the region appreciated the freedom offered by our unique type of accommodation. Besides, the hotel bears the name "La Remontee" (The Lift) in reference to the ski resorts lift!

Between spring 1984 and summer 1985, several additional cottages, a laundry, a swimming pool and a park for children where added to the site.

More big changes for the years 1988, 1989, 1990! The main building is erected. These are 10 studios with kitchenette, mezzanine, fireplace and whirlpool bath, 3 two bedrooms apartments and 3 three bedrooms apartments on two floors that were designed and built to provide a warm and comfortable living space.

The front of the Champêtre building was built nearly 10 years later, between 1999 and 2001. It includes studios with kitchenette, fireplace and whirlpool bath and apartments with two bedrooms with kitchen, living room with fireplace, two bathrooms and outside balconies.

Today, La Remontee offers a wide range of rooms, apartments and cottages that can accommodate all types of clientele. For nearly 40 years, we can boast of having a unique offer in the area. This is also what allows us to take our place in the highly competitive hotel market of Charlevoix!
